Seminole State College of Florida is pleased to welcome Traci Ash Bjella as the new vice president of Marketing and Strategic Communications. As a seasoned marketing executive with over 25 years of experience, Bjella will play a vital role in leading integrated strategies to elevate Seminole State’s brand, support enrollment goals and strengthen community engagement in alignment with the College’s mission and strategic priorities.
Bjella brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, brand development and communications across corporate, private and higher education sectors. Her career is marked by a strong track record of enhancing institutional reputation and student engagement through innovative, data-driven marketing strategies. She is dedicated to fostering growth, engagement and positive change on campus and in the broader community.
Prior to joining Seminole State, Bjella served as chief marketing officer at Valencia College, where she spearheaded the college’s marketing strategy, developed and executed comprehensive branding initiatives and championed cross-departmental collaboration to support institutional and community goals. She has been recognized for her servant leadership, innovative digital strategies and a strong commitment to community engagement.
Bjella holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University, and an Associate of Science degree in Marketing from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. She is actively involved in community initiatives, serving as an Executive Board member for A Gift for Teaching.
In her new role, Bjella will lead all aspects of Seminole State’s marketing and communications efforts, including branding, advertising, media relations, digital and internal communications, and events. As a key member of the executive team, she will be instrumental in advancing the College’s position as Your Learning Partner for Career Success.
