New Career Opportunities Closer to Home for Residents of Seminole County

CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF), the region’s leader in workforce solutions and innovations, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its community hub at Seminole State College Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. This is CSCF’s first community hub in Seminole County and provides a convenient and welcoming space where Seminole County residents can access career coaching, training, and employment opportunities.

The community hub at Seminole State College Sanford/Lake Mary Campus is part of CSCF’s strategy to establish a network of community-based locations across Central Florida, bringing workforce services directly into neighborhoods where people live, learn, and work. Through this partnership with Seminole State College, students and residents can connect with one-on-one career coaching, job readiness support, resume assistance, and access to training and certification programs.

“Our work across Seminole County is driven by strong partnerships—and Seminole State College is one of the most critical,” said Pamela Nabors, President & CEO of CareerSource Central Florida. “By launching our first community hub on their campus, we’re expanding access to career support and strengthening a partnership that directly impacts the region’s economic mobility.”

CareerSource Central Florida’s community hubs model is designed to meet career seekers where they are. By embedding career services within trusted and high-traffic locations such as Seminole State College, CSCF is removing barriers and connecting more individuals to the resources they need to thrive in today’s workforce.

“This partnership with CareerSource Central Florida significantly strengthens the support we provide to our students and the wider Seminole County community,” said Dr. Georgia Lorenz, President of Seminole State College. “By welcoming CareerSource Central Florida to our Sanford/Lake Mary campus, we are creating a powerful, direct pathway to career counseling, training, and employment services—equipping our students and residents for the in-demand careers shaping our region’s future.”

Residents can now visit the Seminole State College Sanford/Lake Mary Campus community hub—located at 100 Weldon Blvd., Building C, Room C103, Sanford, FL 32773—to meet directly with a career consultant.
