GFWC Lake Mary Woman’s Club Partners with League of Women Voters, Safehouse

The GFWC Lake Mary Woman’s Club is constantly working with its community partners in many facets of service.  At the Oct. 21 meeting held at Heathrow Country Club, the League of Women Voters-Seminole County, a source of nonpartisan, objective information for voters for over 100 years, Deana Schott, a 42-year Seminole County resident and past president of the Seminole County league, presented a program informing Club members and guests of the three tax-related state amendments that are on the November ballot and showed the data on the impact on Seminole County homeowners and the county budget.  She ended the presentation encouraging all to visit Vote411.org for additional information.

Guests are always welcome to join the 48 members on Nov. 18, 2026, to hear more of the Club’s involvements and enjoy a presentation from SafeHouse, a shelter for domestic violence victims. Members are currently donating household necessities for the “Starting Over” totes.

The Business segment starts at 10:30 am followed by the 25-minute program.
