Commissioner Herr Elected to Chair Seminole County Commission

Seminole County Commissioner Andria Herr was elected Tuesday by her fellow Commissioners to serve as Chairman of the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners for 2026.
Commissioner Herr, who represents District 5, was first elected to the Board in 2020. She brings extensive experience with executive level leadership in multiple organizations as well as nonprofit leadership, community engagement, including service on the Board of Directors for the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner Herr continues to serve as an Executive Vice President for Hylant, one of our countries largest privately held insurance agencies.

“As Chair, my focus is on strengthening the partnerships that keep Seminole County moving forward,” said Chairman Herr. “We will continue working together to preserve what makes our community special while preparing for the opportunities ahead. I am grateful for the trust of my colleagues and committed to serving our residents with transparency, collaboration, and a fiscally responsible approach.”
The election of the Chair is an annual process for the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners, as outlined in the County Charter.
The Board also elected Commissioner Amy Lockhart to serve as Vice Chair for 2026. Commissioner Lockhart, who represents District 4, was first elected in 2018 and previously served as Chair in 2023.
