Bill Blend, CPA, CFE is a Shareholder at MSL and a member of MSL’s Governmental Practice Group. He is the Shareholder in charge of Quality Control and has over 25 years of public accounting, governmental, and not-for-profit experience.Bill has performed audits of various governmental entities and has participated in all phases of an audit. He is qualified to perform audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, Federal Single Audit Uniform Guidance, and Florida Single Audit requirements. He has audited and performed consulting work for Not-for-Profit, Construction, Trucking, Health Care, and Middle Market entities.Bill performs training for organizations like the FICPA, FGFOA, and MSL's continuing education courses. He has been recognized by the FICPA as Outstanding Discussion Leader 4 times and authored the AICPA's yellow book update CPE session in 2015 & 2016. He is a certified fraud examiner and has investigated cases involving business fraud.

Brandy began her career at an early age of 12 working side by side with her successful entrepreneurial father for a couple of decades, which she progressed to managing the operations & the financials of up to 36 franchised and independently-owned fast food and full service restaurants.  She then owned/operated numerous businesses in varied industries; all of which she was fully responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial management and reporting.  Brandy used her experience to become the President of STRATEGIC Accounting & Consulting, which is a unique, hybrid, forward-thinking, practice offering bookkeeping, payroll, tax, business consulting, tax planning, QuickBooks training & virtual CFO Services. Brandy’s specialty is to consolidate information to prepare financials statements, analyze financials and ratios, and review/educate clients on their historical and future financial trends.

Megan Almasi serves as the Community Relations Manager for Orlando Health. In this role, she has the opportunity to manage all corporate charitable giving, team member volunteerism and non-profit board service for Orlando Health in Seminole County, Florida. Prior to taking the position in February 2018, Megan served as the Senior Director of Programs and Leadership for the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce.

Megan is a graduate of Rollins College with a B.A. in English and an M.B.A.. She has a tremendous passion for community engagement and a desire to inspire others to identify their passions and become active citizens. Megan currently serves on the Leadership Business Advisory Board for the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and in various volunteer capacities for the Center for Independent Living, Rotary Club of Lake Mary, Leadership Florida and Fleet Farming. Megan is also a graduate of Leadership Winter Park, Leadership Seminole and Leadership Florida.

Tina Calderone has been a lifelong public school advocate and was first elected to the School Board in 2010. She and her husband have been residents of Seminole County since 1989 and both of their children have graduated from SCPS. Tina is a proven community leader and volunteer as is evidenced by her membership in all of Seminole County’s Chambers of Commerce and has served on the boards of the Greater Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, School Readiness Coalition, and Seminole County Library Advisory Board just to name a few.
 

LaVeta Hayes was born in Daytona Beach, FL.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. After 37 years of exceptional Federal Government Service as Branch Chief of Financial Management Policy for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, LaVeta retired in February of 2014.

LaVeta has assisted hundreds of clients in the past years in the financial and insurance industry and has given hundreds of phenomenal presentations and speeches.  LaVeta specializes in College Planning, Estate Preservation, Medicare, Life & Health Insurance and Long-Term Care Planning giving lifelong tips and tools to plot a plan for continuous success.

Karen is the Director of Business for The Orlando Law Group and has been doing business development and connecting business for the past 10 years. She is a former board member for the Seminole County and Apopka Chambers. Karen is an advocate in the fight against Human Trafficking and volunteers as an ambassador for 3 non profits. She was awarded "Volunteer of the Year" by the Orlando Main Streets Gateway District in 2017 as a result of a hotel security presentation she gave on Human Trafficking which resulted in the rescue of a trafficking victim and arrest of the trafficker at a hotel near the Orlando International Airport.

Karen enjoys everything outdoors, especially motorcycle riding (Wind Therapy). She has two daughters, Kalee who is married with Karen's 1st grandchild, a sassy little princess, Marlee, and her other daughter, Darbee, a NICU nurse at Winnie Palmer Hospital who is married and expecting her 1st baby in 2025.

Chris is an experienced government and external affairs professional. Originally from Central Florida, Chris has a varied background with experience on Capitol Hill, working for a medical trade association, an aerospace economy development agency and now a regulated utility. These experiences, and the eagerness to learn new information, has been at the heart of his career.  He has a wife of more than 15 years and two children.  He also serves as a deacon of University Presbyterian Church in Orlando, FL.

After years of working with industry-leading manufacturers and helping hundreds of patients reconnect to their loved ones, Jaysee opened Altamonte Family Hearing to help treat the hearing impaired in his community. He incorporates his love and understanding of technology to program the clearest hearing instruments available.

Jaysee was born and raised in New York City and has been a Florida resident since 2007. Growing up in such a diverse city with differing cultures ignited his passion for connecting with others and learning their life stories.
