Area Council - West Seminole Council 2025-2026

Karen is the Director of Business for The Orlando Law Group and has been doing business development and connecting business for the past 10 years. She is a former board member for the Seminole County and Apopka Chambers. Karen is an advocate in the fight against Human Trafficking and volunteers as an ambassador for 3 non profits. She was awarded "Volunteer of the Year" by the Orlando Main Streets Gateway District in 2017 as a result of a hotel security presentation she gave on Human Trafficking which resulted in the rescue of a trafficking victim and arrest of the trafficker at a hotel near the Orlando International Airport.

Karen enjoys everything outdoors, especially motorcycle riding (Wind Therapy). She has two daughters, Kalee who is married with Karen's 1st grandchild, a sassy little princess, Marlee, and her other daughter, Darbee, a NICU nurse at Winnie Palmer Hospital who is married with a new grandson, Brenno in 2025.

Rebecca Barnes is a wife, mother of 2 sons, grandmother to 4 amazing grandchildren, and a proud Co-owner of North Orlando Painters, a family owned and operated full service painting company! Along with her husband, Bob, son Zach, and daughter-in-law Meredith, Rebecca started their family business with the hopes to take the stress and frustration out of hiring a professional painting company. 
Rebecca's professional career includes a successful career in B2B sales, customer relations, fundraising and nonprofit management. She is a handy "do-it-yourselfer" who isn't afraid to tackle most jobs around the house and in the yard.
Rebecca's passion is to serve others! She has lead several teams on national and international mission trips as well as worked with her local church to head up special events and outreach programs. 
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and exploring the sites of Central Florida.
