Steve Labadessa Exhibit

Gallery open Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and during music and theater performances. Open reception Thursday October 2, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The Fine Arts Gallery will feature the oil paintings and graphite/color pencil drawings of Indiana artist Steven Labadessa. His works explore “severe beauty…an aesthetic of imperfection alluding to the underlying nature of matter and memory: everything is subject to age, wear, and decay.” Labadessa received his M.F.A. in painting and presently teaches studio art at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has exhibited nationally in both group and solo exhibits and is the recipient of various awards, including the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship.
