The Professional Women's Luncheon has set the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and exciting. At each lunch, a high profile woman shares her life story, giving attendees a look into the struggles and accomplishments of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon is attended by successful business women who participate in special activities designed to facilitate introductions.
SPEAKER:
Maritza Martinez-Guerrero is an associate vice president for the Division of Government and Community Relations, and director for the Office of Community Relations and Economic Development at UCF. A strategic and trusted public affairs executive, Maritza has more than 15 years of experience strengthening internal and external stakeholder relations in higher education.
Over the years, Martinez-Guerrero has represented the University on numerous boards and community-wide efforts, and currently serves on the boards of the National Entrepreneurship Center, GrowFL, National Center for Simulation, Team Volusia, Small Business Development Center, Heart of Florida United Way, among others. Martinez received her bachelor’s, master’s and MBA from UCF.
She has been recognized as Orlando Business Journal’s Woman to Watch, Orlando Magazine’s 12 people to watch, honored as one of Onyx Magazine’s Woman On The Move, and chosen by Orange Appeal Magazine as a 2020 Woman of the Year. Maritza is married to Julio E. Guerrero, and has two daughters, Juliana and Mariana, ages 17 and 15. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cheering for the Knights!
