The Business Lifecycle: Entity Choice, Governance, Employee Incentives and Sale/Transition
In this seminar we discuss the issues raised when considering business start-up, maintaining key employees to further growth (while preserving autonomy) and how each impacts sale opportunities and incentives. We explore the various entity options, restrictions and owner buyouts (including a recent SCOTUS ruling) as well as phantom equity and equity appreciation rights (as alternatives to “true equity”).
