ANASTASIA: THE MUSICAL

LONGWOOD, FL.?On April 8,9, & 10, 2021 at 7pm, and 1pm on April 10, in the Lyman High School Auditorium: 865 S Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750, Lymlight Productions, the Resident Theatre Company at Lyman High School, will present Anastasia: the Musical, Book by Terrence McNally, Music by Stephen Flaherty, Lyrics by Lynne Ahrens. Inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox Motion Pictures by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical, from the play by Marcelle Maurette as adapted by Guy Bolton.

Based on the legends of a hopeful people, Anastasia: the Musical allows the dreamer to live in a world where the Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov had survived the brutal massacre of her family after the Bolshevik revolution. Presented with love and reverence, and with familiar and beloved songs, such as “Once Upon a December” and “Journey to the Past”, the entire cast, including sophomore Emma Daniels (Anya) and senior Zachary Bernstein (Dmitry) bring to life the colorful, soulful, and often heartbreaking story first imagined in animation.

A socially distanced, and fully masked production, Lymlight Productions makes your health and our top priority, by allowing only 250 of our 900 seats to be occupied and seated with care and consideration of placement. Patrons must wear masks, which fully cover the mouth and nose at all times, and will receive a link to the virtual production program as well.
