Description

Every family eats, therefore, every family needs a farmer. Do you know yours? Take this opportunity to meet, support, and learn from your Seminole County farmers and stewards of the land. Experience a sample of Seminole County's agricultural industry, past, present, and future!
NEW THIS YEAR! Receive an all day guided tour in the comfort of a charter bus. The only way to enjoy the full service farm to table tour experience is to pre- register and get your seat on the bus. Space is limited!

Featured farms include:
The Yarborough Ranch
Dutchmill Nursery
John E. Polk Correctional Facility Hydroponic Greenhouse
Morris Family Farms
Ol’ Barn Junktiques

More information:
On the day of the tour, registered participants need to arrive to the sign- in table stationed at the Museum of Seminole County History between 8:30- 9:00 am. The bus will be loading at 9:00 am. Signs will lead you to the parking area in the field across from the museum and then to the registration table. The Museum of Seminole County History will be open, and the Home Community Educator (HCE) volunteers are hosting their annual garage sale in the UF/IFAS Extension Auditorium, all located on the same premises. We will have coffee ready!
Remember, this is a farm tour, so we will be outside driving and walking on a variety of terrain. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and attire, and bring a hat and sunglasses, too! Be prepared for rain with an umbrella or poncho. You may have an opportunity to purchase some goods, so come prepared with a cooler, but consider space on the bus, and remember, you can go back to visit the farms that sell direct to the public... in fact, we encourage it!
